We are pleased to announce that Mahsa Merci is shortlisted for the "5 Rising Painters to Discover in 2022” campaign by Artsy. This campaign is up and now digitally displayed the “A Drag Queen in a Black Suit” in NYC subway stations and train cars. This piece was part of the “Silent Stars,” Merci’s solo exhibition at the Mayten’s Projects, which resulted from two years of creation and examining the restrictiveness of social norms, especially for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Mahsa Merci holds an MFA from the University of Manitoba and now lives and works in Toronto.
