Earth Oracles

Visit - up to 30 minutes

Pondering the meaning and consequences of the multiverse, I seek objects that take me to another world. The artists included in Earth Oracles accept the vastness and possibilities of the universe beyond the known or hidden within the mundane. Rather than fear the unknown, they allow it to inspire an engagement with materials, realities, and histories.

The blooming of the ostensible tulip and the trivial artist

Visit - up to 30 minutes

Alexis Vanasse’s first solo exhibition La tulipe est ostensible et l’artiste trivial (The blooming of the ostensible tulip and the trivial artist) expands the boundaries of the still life trope, transforming traditional still lives into poetic sculptural tableaus comprising unusual, sometimes surreal juxtapositions of found and altered objects. Defying immediate rational interpretation, they engage the viewer in an intersubjective dialogue with the artist over potential meanings and ultimately challenge the Enlightenment values of rationality and reason.
