This exhibition is a teaching moment, reflecting the identities of a part of our global community previously underrepresented,” says Farnoosh Talaee, co-founder of Mayten’s. “Everyone should be able to see themselves, their cultures, their identities, and their passions reflected in our collections and exhibitions. Educating everyone is at the core of our mission.”

Silent Stars will also be included at the year’s Art Toronto. Mahsa Merci will feature two sculptures at the in-person fair October 29-31st allowing visitors to contemplate their biases on identity. The exhibition will be featured online via Artland from Oct 29-Nov 7th as part of the Art Toronto virtual fair.
